Azerbaijani President visits sights of Tashkent

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who is on an official visit to Uzbekistan, got acquainted with the sights of Tashkent.

President Ilham Aliyev, accompanied by President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, visited the Independence Square, where he laid flowers at the new symbol of Uzbekistan - the Monument of Independence and Humanism.

The two presidents visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, where President Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the country's bicameral parliament.

Ilham Aliyev also visited the Palace of international forums "Uzbekistan". Azerbaijani President noted that this magnificent building has blend in with the aesthetics of the city.
Ilham Aliyev, accompanied by Islam Karimov, also visited the Hazrati Imam Complex. Erected on the initiative of Uzbek leader, it combines the modern and ancient traditions of oriental architecture.

Members of the delegation also got acquainted with the Holy Quran of Uthman, kept in the library of the Office of Uzbek Muslims. The unique book considered a monument of the seventh century was brought to Uzbekistan at the time of Amir Timur.
President Ilham Aliyev signed the book of honorable guests of the library.
