The head of a provincial commerce department in Iran says the Islamic Republic's share in Afghanistan's $6 billion of annual import has reached $1.2 billion, PRESS TV reported.

Pakistan's interior minister is to arrive in the Iranian capital of Tehran to deliver a written message from Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, PRESS TV reported.
Rehman Malik will arrive in Tehran at the helm of a high-ranking Pakistani delegation on Tuesday, Iran's Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
During his trip, the Pakistani interior minister will also hold talks with senior Iranian officials to discuss issues of mutual interest.
The visit comes as Tehran and Islamabad enjoy high political and economic relations.

Forty eight Afghan mosque leaders arrived in Amman Monday as guests of the Jordanian armed forces to attend workshops on Islamic tolerance and moderation, the official Petra news agency reported.
The week-long lecture series cover dialogue among religions in a bid to enable the Afghan preachers, who came from several provinces in Afghanistan, to "promulgate Islam's message of tolerance and moderation in their communities", dpa quoted the report as saying.

European Union (EU) foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on Sunday started her four-day tour to the Gulf region for a cooperative meeting and "better insights into the political situation" in the region, Xinhua reported.
Ashton is expected to co-chair the EU-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Meeting in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, according to an EU news release.She travels first to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, where she will meet Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal and GCC Secretary-general Abdel-Aziz Zayani.
